Monroe County Executive Adam Bello and the Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport today cut the ribbon on new nonstop service to Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) in Las Vegas, NV on Southwest Airlines (WN). This is ROC’s first nonstop air service to LAS since 2008. Flights on Southwest’s 143 seat 737‐7 are now offered four times per week.

“The Entertainment Capital of the World, America’s Playground – however you refer to it, we are pleased to welcome nonstop service to Las Vegas on Southwest Airlines. Whether you enjoy fine dining and shopping or gaming, live shows, and entertainment, these nonstop flights will provide greater convenience to Las Vegas and all that it has to offer,” said Monroe County Executive Adam Bello.

Las Vegas had previously been the second‐largest unserved destination out of Rochester. Additionally, Rochester was the largest unserved domestic market for Las Vegas. The four times per week service will add more than 500 seats weekly from Rochester to Las Vegas. Southwest Airlines also operates nonstop service to Baltimore, MD (BWI), Orlando, FL (MCO) and Tampa, FL (TPA) out of ROC.
